Home loan: buying, building or renovating

A home loan is typically used to buy, build or renovate a house or flat. It is usually a long-term loan, and the property itself is the security. Sahukar.app does not sanction home loans, hold title documents or decide your down payment.

What a home loan usually covers

Most home loans are for purchase of a ready or under-construction home, construction on a plot you own, or a renovation that the lender is willing to treat as housing finance. Balance-transfer of an existing home loan is a different conversation with the current and new lender.

Tenure is often measured in years, not months. EMI size depends on amount, rate and tenure — figures only a lender can quote for your case.

What this page does not offer

  • We do not approve a home loan or book a property.
  • We do not publish loan-to-value ratios or interest rates.
  • We do not promise a loan if the property papers are incomplete.

What lenders typically look at

Lenders usually look at your income and existing EMIs, the property's legal and technical status, and how much of the cost you can pay yourself. They may also check a credit bureau report.

A callback on this website does not value a flat or run a legal check. Those steps, if they happen, are between you and a lender or their appointed valuers.

How a Sahukar.app callback helps

An advisor can help you describe whether you are buying, building or renovating, and how that differs from a loan against a property you already own.

Bring questions, not documents, to the first call. If you later apply, the lender will say which papers they need.

Home loan questions

Is a home loan the same as a loan against property?

No. A home loan is usually taken to buy, build or renovate a home. A loan against property uses a property you already own as security, often for another purpose. The pages on this website explain each one separately.

Do I need a sale agreement to enquire?

No. You can request a callback with your name, mobile number, city and loan type. A lender may ask for property papers if you apply.

Can you pre-approve a home loan amount?

No. Only a lender can issue a sanction or in-principle approval after their own assessment.
