EMI calculator: estimate a monthly payment from figures you enter
EMI means equated monthly instalment: a fixed amount paid each month that covers part of the principal and part of the interest. Advertisements often show a low EMI without showing the rate or tenure behind it. This page lets you run the standard formula with your own figures.
Work out an example EMI
Enter an amount, tenure and annual interest rate. The result uses the figures you type. It is not a quote from Sahukar.app or from a lender.
This uses the standard reducing-balance EMI formula. A lender may add fees, use a different compounding method or offer a different rate.
How the example is calculated
The calculator uses the common reducing-balance formula: interest is charged on the remaining principal, and the EMI stays the same if the rate and tenure stay the same.
It does not add processing fees, insurance, GST on fees or prepayment charges. A real loan offer from a lender might include those.
What this calculator is not
- It is not a quote, sanction or eligibility check.
- Sahukar.app does not set interest rates, so we do not fill a rate in for you.
- A lower EMI from a longer tenure usually means you pay more interest in total.
What a callback can add
If the numbers raise questions — for example whether a personal loan or a longer secured loan is the usual discussion for that amount — an advisor can talk that through.
They still cannot promise an EMI. Only a lender can, after they choose a rate and a tenure for an application they accept.
EMI questions
Why don't you pre-fill an interest rate?
Because we are not a lender and we do not have a rate card. A pre-filled rate would look like an offer. Type a rate you want to test, or one a lender has already mentioned to you.
Does a lower EMI always mean a cheaper loan?
No. Stretching the tenure lowers the monthly payment and usually increases the total interest. Compare both the EMI and the total payable.
Will this calculation change my credit score?
No. The calculator runs in your browser. It does not send an application to a bureau.

Talk through the amount you have in mind
Share a few details. An advisor will call you back. The calculator is not an application.
Sahukar.app is not a lender. Loan approval, amount, interest rate and terms are decided by the lender based on their own eligibility criteria.
